Changes to counsellor Policies
Please note that counsellors will be a little different this year. In the past male counsellors have always been assigned to male cabins (and same for girls). Due to a shortage of staff, we will be doing things a little different this year. Your male camper may have a female counsellor (and vice versa). That being said, a same gender staff will be available for change times and will be the one sleeping in the cabins at night with the campers. Counsellors of opposite genders will just be planning and facilitating daily programing with the campers. Campers will not have an opposite gender staff in their cabin at night. Thanks for being accepting of this change and helping us to accept the candidates we have for staff regardless of their gender.
Camp Tanner Photo Release Policy
Please read our photo release policy before agreeing to the terms. There is a check box on your registration form/ online registration, by checking that you agree to having your child's photo taken you are agreeing to the terms set out in the following file.
Camp Tanner Policies
Please read and review the following policies with your camper before bringing them to their week of camp.
Camp Tanner provides a safe and enjoyable experience for campers.
Camp Tanner is a smoke, alcohol, drug & electronics free environment.
Respect for staff, fellow campers, property and facilities are expected. We reserve the right to send a camper home for not conforming to these standards or disruptive behaviour. Any campers sent home for inappropriate behaviour may not be considered as a camper in the future nor entitled to any amount of refund.
It is strongly recommended that all campers remain at camp for the full camp week. If the need arises, a camper will be allowed to leave the camp one time only, the exception being family or medical emergencies. If a camper must leave, we ask the parents or guardians to please put in writing the times of the pickup and delivery back to camp and give to the program directors at registration.
